We’re currently working on migrating our old site to a WordPress. I’ve been assigned to migrate the articles from some of our blogs to the development site.

Some of the images included in the articles wasn’t copied over to the development site so I had to reupload them and update the URL. However, they are not displaying properly. It just displays a grey box but non of the images.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:
-Reploaded the missing images to the development site and updated the each image gallery on each page
-Cleared the both the website cache and the cache on my web browser
-Installed the “jQuery Migrate Helper” plugin then cleared both the website and my browser’s cache

I’ve done all of this and the image galleries still don’t work. Can anyone tell me why the images show up when you go to the editor but not in the page itself?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,

Your image galleries load fine on my end. Do you have a specific page of post that this is happening so I can have a look?

    Hi @fstat,

Our web developer managed to find a solution by the time you access the page. But now we’re facing a new problem: The portrait/vertically-oriented images look like they’re being stretched to fill the box.

    Here’s an example: https://imgur.com/a/oEmwJZ1
And here’s the image when it’s not being stretched and what it should look like inside the gallery: https://arielk2.sg-host.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/IMG_20200217_211711-1.jpg

Can you please share a link the page or post where that slideshow is so I can have a closer look?

It’s on the “The page I need help with:” from my first post up-top.

Thanks, I’m not seeing that image in either of those galleries. The images I do see seem to be proportioned nicely, though it’s hard to tell when it’s hard what the original is supposed to look like.

The screenshot you gave, though, looks like the image was somehow stretched to fit. I was not able to duplicate this on a test site, where I used images with different aspect ratios. By default they won’t stretch to fill the space.

    Hi @supernovia,

Our developer managed to resolve that issue too. But still, thank you to you both for your help. Here’s the script he added to fix the issues of images not appearing:
    <script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-2.2.4.min.js" integrity="sha256-BbhdlvQf/xTY9gja0Dq3HiwQF8LaCRTXxZKRutelT44=" crossorigin="anonymous"></script>
