• We use WordPress for our business site (an antique shop). Our question pertains to the use of image galleries. We upload images of our merchandise on a page called “window shopping” as you can see here:

Our desire is to de-clutter the page, so to speak. As you can see, multiple images of the same item appear one after another. We would like to have ONLY the first image of each item visible; then, when you click on it, an image gallery would open to display the remaining images of that same item.

Additionally, we’d love to categorize the items. Example: have links such as “desks”, “chairs”, “tables” etc, so that visitors may click on the link and view only that category of items if desired.

I have tried a little internet research and can’t readily determine how to do this. I’ve seen lots of “retail store” themes for purchase, but I don’t love any of those to be honest and I’m not sure if they have the functionality we want?…

Thanks in advance for any suggestions – would love if someone could help by suggesting a plugin or just point me in the direction!
