Image Hover Effects Visual Composer Extension not working with Visual Composer

I activated the free Image Hover Effects-SB Caption Hover Effects Collection and used it with no problem. Later, after installing Visual Composer, I activated the Image Hover Effects Visual Composer Extension. But the extension does not work, and I have a message saying it requires Visual Composer to be activated (which it already was). I wonder if the Extension version is actually looking for the WPBakery page builder?? Can anybody advise me on what to try next? Thanks!
