Image Import not Working?

    Hey there!

    I’m trying to migrate from Shopify and attempted to import all of my products at once. Unfortunately, the import process stalled, and with the suspicion that the images were the cause of the stalling, I removed that part from the import process and everything transferred over.

    I am now circling back in order to try and get the image portion working, but I have not been successful in doing so.

    I’ve reduced the CSV file to only one product, consisting of an ID Number (found by exporting all of the imported products), product name (for my own reference), and an image column with a number of image link (with full URLs, separated by commas), as a test run. This also caused the import process to stall, and I am struggling to find out why.

    Any assistance would be very much appreciated!

    This is with the original woocommerce function.

  • Maybe woocommerce import export plugin will get the job done

    This could be due to a memory limit. Do you have the exact total memory of all the images you are uploading? Even one image could time you out.

    @braehler The woocommerce import export plugin was indeed able to do the job!

    @serafinnyc Though the importing process was completed, it seemed as though the metadata for the images were corrupted or missing, thus they did not load properly on my website. Upon checking server resources while the job was being run, it seems as though I hit the limit on memory, CPU, and disk io. I’m at a loss on what to do, but this is probably going to be an issue between me and my host.

    Any suggestions would help, just in case!

    To follow back, I changed the version of the PHP to 7.6(if memory recalls, definitely 7.x), and it seems to have solved pretty much everything.
