Image Insert Problem after update to 2.8.6

    After updating to 2.8.6, whenever I insert and image into a post/page, the image is linked. I have to manually remove the code for the hyperlink. Any ideas how I might fix this?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Plugins don’t seem to be the problem…

    any other ideas?
