• I am hoping that someone is able to help me…I have been pulling my hair out with this and have been searching for so long…

I am having issues with uploading images….I was orignally able to upload but suddenly it has stopped…I have been changing things in the design etc so I am not sure if I have done something to it???

When I upload an image all I get is a box with a little red x in it…

    I have done the following….

deleted all cookies, history and cache files, rebooted (over…and over…and over…and…)
    re-loaded all the wp-admin & wp-includes files on ftp
    re-installed adobe flash 9
checked all file settings are in the right parameters
I have also tried uploading the images through ftp direct into the wp-content/uploads folder

I am trying with both IE and Firefox & also using flash uploader and browser uploader……..

There is one other thing I have found about a security fix…but i cant work out how i am meant to do it!?

I use Windows XP, and have version 2.6.3 of wordpress, not sure if these make a difference

    Please can someone help me????

  • Maybe it’s a path problem. Is the image visible in the ‘Media Library’ after you upload it?

If the image is visible in the Media Library, then try this, click on the Media Library button to open it. Double click on the image to open it. Right click on the image, go to properties. Copy the full image path and name. Then go back to your post, click on the add image icon and paste the full path in the URL box.

Same problem as Whint — no resolution. The path is correct, the permissions are correct, the upload seems to proceed smoothly, but the image is not there and the upload folder is empty. Tried deactivating other plugins. Tried IE. Tried Firefox. Everything had been working correctly until a few days ago.

I don’t have any other ideas.
