Image lightbox in amp pages

So, where do you exactly want this lightbox? give me the purpose that you are trying to use it for. So that I can understand and help you better.

I want the images in a post to open in a lightbox when a user clicks.

For instance, we are currently working on a page builder update which will have a module that will allow you to have that.

So, like that, I have to understand where are you expecting to insert it so that I can understand and help you fix it.

when a visitor browse the regular page https://www.outdoorhaber.com/malzeme-inceleme/thermarest-neoair-xtherm-sisme-mat-inceleme if they click on an image within the post, the image gets displayed in a lightbox. it doesn’t open in a new window, nor same window by leaving the page. that’s how I like it to be in amp pages.

Im extremely sorry for inconvenience. We did not ignore your question, we have hundreds of emails and messages coming our way and it’s hard to reply each and every one of them. We are improving our team so that we can handle such requests.

yes I want the images to get displayed in a lightbox. This is my only will and final decision.

it doesn’t matter which lightbox it is (foobox, etc). The idea is simple. When a user clicks on an image, I don’t want them to leave the page, I want the image to be opened in a lightbox.

Dude are you really serious? Should I tell about the lightbox image concept from the beginning. I just want a simple image lightbox in a post. That’s it.

To be extremely clear, please browse https://www.outdoorhaber.com/makale/uyku-tulumlarinda-en-13537-standardi-ve-isi-derecelendirmeleri on your mobile (non-amp page) click on an image. You will see the image gets opened in a lightbox. I want the same in amp pages. That is it.

If you would like to achieve that then you can directly add amp-lightbox markup, but that’s just the manual way of doing it.

We are in the middle of a major update: https://ampforwp.com/whats-coming-in-the-december-2017/ which will be released this month, after that, we are going to accelerate the development even more.

I’m so ashamed of this situation and I don’t even know how to say sorry.

It was my mistake that I didn’t understand that issue properly. I thought you wanted it in the page builder.

I have assigned the ticket to the Milestone “W10” which is scheduled to be released on “March 24, 2018”.
