image link no working

  • I noticed Friday that the links associated with images inserted into our posts are not working.
    I inserted a new image (cursor on the to left of paragraph, insert image from library, right align, clicked link to url, copied url, pressed update and published the update). When you go to the story, the link shows if you hover over the image but nothing happens when you click on it.

    I tried a different browser, same thing. I checked a post from weeks ago that I knew the link to an image had been working but it is not working now.

    Interestingly, I also noticed Friday that I couldn’t log out of wordpress as admin. I clicked log out, the login page popped up, I closed the browser tab, and when I go to our website it has me logged in still. I don’t know if this issue is related to the issue with the image links not working.

  • Apparently the problem is the Envira Gallery plugin. When we click on the image it triggers an error (visible on your browser console) that says:

    Uncaught TypeError: Cannot convert undefined or null to object

    at HTMLAnchorElement.r.handle (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:3)

    That line seems to be related to captions settings, but it’s not very clear.

    Are you using the lite or the pro version of it? And did you update the plugin and/or your theme recently?
