Image Linking within blog post doesn't work

  • I attempt to insert an image with a custom URL (which happens to be an affiliate link). I insert the URL under the custom URL dropdown and then insert it into the post. When I go to preview the post and click on the image I receive an error message that the image cannot be loaded.

    Is there something I’m not doing, or something I’m doing that I shouldn’t?

    Do other images inserted work?

    When I click on any image it just expands for the larger view function. When I set the custom link to open in a new window with a different URL, the expand function doesn’t work and it gives the error. It also does not open the link in another window like I set it to do.

    I found that if I right click “open in new window” manually it will open the custom URL I set the image to. It just won’t do it on its own.
