Image location/download image

Apologies if this has been asked before. A quick search didn’t find anything.

Where are the uploaded images stored in the file structure, or are they in the database?

I would like to download 2 images in my galleries, both from different sub galleries.
The only option I can see at the moment is Export Photos and then it’s the entire Gallery, and includes the watermark.

Is it possible just to get individual files without the watermark?
The galleries are part of a camera club, where one of the members has sadly passed away, so we want to make a ‘tribute’ gallery for him, so I need to get the images from these past galleries.

Is there an easier way that I am missing?
