• Hi,
I have tried coding this image map every which way I can think of, but as you move from left to right and then down, the coordinates are no longer where they should be. Chatsworth starts off fine, but as you move to the right, it starts picking up space and the links start going to the wrong page.

I have hand coded it and I have tried a plug-in, all with the exact same result. However, I have the identical image map on another Non-wordpress page and it is fine. I thought maybe the WordPress version didn’t like polygons, so I redid it all using just rectangles, same problem.

Here is the WordPress Page with the haywire coordinates: https://northvalleyla.com/about-north-valley-la/

Here is the page with the same map that works but on the non-wordpress page: https://northvalleyla.com/la-neighborhood-info.html I did keep the polygons on that one, but it is basically the same.

Thanks so much for any help you can give me on this problem.
    Cheers,
    Janell

I still have not resolved this problem. I hope someone out there can help!

    Hi,

Just thought I would let you know that I solved this problem!

The theme I was using had a piece in the css which set a ‘maximum image width’.

So the image I had put on the page was being made slightly smaller, but the coordinates were for the original image size.

You will either have to find the bit in the css code and change the max image width, or make your image smaller.

    Hope this helps!

Have you tried option of drag and drop. OR just set pixel in image. May be you get a perfect view one..

You want to see the image over the entire screen, but different
devices have different resolutions. How do I create the image map in
    this case?

    Try this!!
    – upload your image to an image hosting site (I use photo bucket)
    – copy the “direct link” from the links page
    – upload it to this site using the “from URL” line: https://www.image-maps.com/
    – follow the instructions to map your image
    – copy the html code into the page you want it to be uploaded onto
