    Here’s my blog: https://flimsywhipped.com/writing/

As you can see, it’s out of sorts. What I’m trying to do is replace the original ‘page top’ with the one I modified (i.e. the blank one with the one that has links on it). However, the original page top is through CSS, and the only way I know how to do image maps was in HTML. So What I originally tried to do was delete the page top from the CSS file and just have it in the PHP file, where I can use a regular image map. However, the problem is that the alignment messes up and I can’t get the new page top to sit exactly where the old one did, meaning there’s a distracting seam. Any solutions?

Ok, so I managed to get the header aligned horizontally, but I’m now having trouble getting it aligned vertically. As you can see, the header image sits just a few pixels above the start of the main page, which makes me think it has something to do with a default padding or something. Forgive me–I’m new to both HTML and CSS. Can anyone figure out what’s going on? Here’s the link again:
