    Hello
suddenly my invoice does not show images.
It worked before with the same settings (i did not change anything)

Perhaps there was a plugin update?

In the invoice settings in the extra field 3 i use an img tag like:

Today i noticed that the pdf gets created with an error at the position of the image:
“Image not found or type unknown”

I already tried to use relative paths or something but it did not work either.
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Regards
    Julius

    Hello Julius,
it’s possible that your host changed something and no longer allows remote images to be loaded and you will need to use an absolute server path – this is the full path that also includes the folders that are before the wp-content part. On the Status page of the plugin settings you can find some temporary file paths, you can use this to determine what you should put in front of the wp-content.
Do note that these changes do not affect existing invoices automatically, if you want to apply this to existing invoices too you will want to enable the option “Always use most current settings” under WooCommerce > PDF Invoices > Documents > Invoice.

Let us know if that helps!

Ah wow thank you very much for your really fast support @pomegranate.

I could fix the problem with for hint for the “test mode/most current settings”.
(In the past i had the feeling it always use the most current settings so i forgot this setting).
You were right i had to change to the absolute path. I also tried that before but misspelled it. Two combined mistakes made it difficult ??

    Now everything works perfect again.
    You made a great plugin!

Very glad to hear it works again!

Yes, before version 2.2.0 the plugin always used the latest settings… Which is fine if you never change your name/address/logo, but for the people that did do that it always needed hacky solutiones based on the date etc. So we opted for a much better general solution that makes the invoices more immutable.

    Happy selling!

    Hi.

I have the same problem, the images are no longer displayed.

Where can I verify the absolute path and modify it please?

I have the free version 2.1.3. I’ve tried the latest version and it’s the same.
The images are seen in the woocommerce order.

    Thanks

@grosducat When you say the ‘images are no longer displayed’ which images are you referring to precisely? The free version doesn’t show any product images out of the box, does this mean you also have the Premium Templates extension? If so, which version?
The above issue was not about product images (which seems to be what you are referring to since you also wrote “The images are seen in the woocommerce order.”) but about static images that were added manually. The information about absolute paths doesn’t apply here.

If you could provide us more information about which images you are referring to and how you added them to the invoice template, we’ll do our best to help!

    Hi Ewout.

    Thanks for your answer.

I use gravity forms so that clients send me their photographs so that I can print them.
The attached photographs are shown on the invoices. They do not appear anymore and it’s my problem.

Thank you very much for your help

I see, unfortunately we have no control over how third parties add images to our invoice. One thing you could check is that your server has allow_url_fopen enabled (you can check this on the “Status” tab of the PDF Invoice plugin settings, under “System Configuration”), if it hasn’t you could ask your host if they can enable this.
Otherwise I’m afraid there’s not much I can do for you.

That option is active and for 2 years everything works well, something I did wrong, I will keep looking to see if I can solve it.
    Thank you
