Image NOT in Notification

    BBPNNS notifies folks just fine. Today I made a Forum Topic and the content had an image in it that comes from our MEDIA library.
    When the notifications went out the image is missing from the Notification.
    If a user looks in the Forum topic the image IS there.
    I am also using “BuddyPress Forum Editor” for the editor in the forums because it’s better than what bbpress has.
    So what happened to my image?

    Hi @rjpivonka,

    Images in emails are tricky, as you have to embed them as a cid for optimal performance. While investigating your question, I found that I was stripping tags regardless of type of email going out.

    I’ll work on allowing HTML if HTML or Multipart messages are selected, and finding a way to get the images to work nicely.

    Thanks Vinny, I just did a bit of searching on “cid” and see that’its is a real mish/mosh and very difficult to deal with in emails.
    Maybe just stick in a placeholder that warns that an image did not transport properly or something to indicate an image is missing and to go to the original source of message (the forum)

    Hi @rjpivonka,

    Check out version 1.16. You’ll find it has full image support, as long as you have your messages set to HTML or Multipart.
