Image not showing, set to display: none

I set up an image and placed the shortcode on the page but when I inspect the page I see that there is an inline style set to “display: none;” and I’m not sure why. I tried leaving the width and height as auto and giving it pixel dimensions but nothing seems to work.

In the inspector I can set it to “display: block; height:287px;” and the image shows up but the image layer I created does not show.
