Image on front page and polylang

Hello,

I have two problems I not seem able to solve.

1. The image showed in the front page is sending my text to the next paragraph. Should not they be aligned? Any idea how to solve this?

2. I use polylang for having Spanish and English posts. However, the language selection box does not appear. Any clue?
