Image order by date – descending not working properly

    Hi there,
    I have set the order of images on my website by the date – in descending order. That means that the newest images should show up on the top, right (going from most recent date to the oldest one)? At least, that’s how it worked up until today. I have uploaded 5 new images and they show up at the very end of my gallery. However, when I uploaded images before the newest always showed up at the beginning (top) of the gallery. Do you know what the problem might be?

    Hey!

    Could you please specify if this problem is occurring on the published gallery or its editing screen?

    If it is on the editing screen, please check the sorting drop-down menu and make sure it is set to Default Sorting. Please have a look at this screenshot.

    In case the problem occurs in the published gallery, our development team may want to have a closer look at it.

    Thanks for the quick reply! The problem is unfortunately occurring in the published gallery.

    I have several galleries on my website. However, on one page I have a gallery that is showing all images from all galleries that I have set up in descending chronological order (by date). That way the newest images should show up at the beginning (that stopped working). Yesterday I have uploaded 5 new images but they show up at the very end of my gallery (check the link in my previous post). However, they themselves are in the descending order of upload time (correct order). All the previous images were uploaded in August and yesterday I have uploaded first images in September. Could there be an issue with the month order?

    Hello,

    We have checked Photo Gallery and our developers suggested the following.

    Please note, that Date option in gallery ordering is not the date the image was added. It is rather the date the image was last modified.

    This means, that you can achieve the desired ordering by selecting Order option for Order by, as the newly-added images appear at the top of the gallery editing page.

    I have captured a screenshot which shows this setting. Please check it within this link. Try this setup and let us know if it meets your requirements.
