Hi! I have a sort of in depth question and would so appreciate some help. I just took about 8 months off from doing anything on my blog (which I had only just started). So I’m now getting back into it. I’m a food blogger so my pictures are important to me but I also don’t want to slow up my site, so losing just a tad bit of quality on my images is ok with me. I don’t have a camera yet. I am taking photos with my iphone in my well lit area with my props and then editing them on lightroom on my phone. My pictures come out pretty darn decent for not using an actual camera. But I am still confused on how to upload them to be the correct size so they don’t lose quality. Can anyone help me with this or give me a lesson, I’ll even pay, for real, lol!!! I know what my image sizes are supposed to be for my theme (I’m using Market theme by Restored 316 Designs.) But when I crop them to the correct size they lose their quality. Any help would be so so so appreciated!!! Thank you!!!

Did you crop/resize them via the WordPress image editor or using software like Photoshop? You might wanna try resizing them in Photoshop if you haven’t already done so, and take note of the image quality options when you’re saving the images.

Are you using any image compression plugin in WordPress?

Could you also share your website link so that we can take a look?
