I have uploaded almost all images to the website at twice their actual size to allow for Retina display. I have also installed your plugin. I see an option to “Image Resize Savings” by reducing images. Will this eliminate the Retina-ready images if I click this? How do I tell WordPress to only serve the Retina version IF it is a Retina screen? I don’t like that it’s serving the huge images regardless.

  • Hello @isign4jc

    I trust you’re doing well!

The Smush lite version will not resize the original images unless an option Resize my full size images is enabled from Smush > Bulk Smush.

The plugin will only optimize the thumbnails that are created from these images.

Please note that since WordPress version 5.3, WordPress automatically resizing original images
