Hello! I was thinking that it would be nice to be able to select both an image size and a custom size at the same time.

For example, my post thumbnails are 300 pixels square. Selecting that size is far too large for an admin column. It would be nice to use the thumbnail size to indicate the correct crop but then also scale it down proportionally to a smaller size – for example – 50 pixels square.

If I just select, 50 x 50 in the Custom field, I get a mixture of rectangles and squares based on what the original image was. It would be nice to maintain the aspect ratio of a specific image size and also scale down in the admin column.

Heya! Thanks for your suggestion! Admin Columns currently resizes images using WordPress’ default thumbnail functionality. Even though we’re keen to stick to WordPress’ default functionality for such features, I realize your request is a valuable one. Therefore, I’ve added your suggestion as a ticket in GitHub. You can follow the status of the ticket there.

    Best,
    Jesper
