• Hello!

I am using the plugin for an archive page and I want the current page as I have it but I want the thumbnails to be on the left side. However, when I do that all the pictures appear in different sizes than when the thumbnail is on top.
    How can I correct that?

    Regards,
    Ben

What do you have the image size set to on the settings page?

One thing you can try is defining a cropped image size in the Simple Image Sizes plugin as mentioned over here: https://help.bootstrapped.ventures/article/173-changing-the-template-style

    Hello Brecht,

On Settings > Media I have the thumbnail size to 350×350 with cropping to exact sizes not ticked.
I tried using such a tool already but the same error still occurred. It must have something to do with the images having different dimensions… I would be cool if the images were cropped left and right but it looks so disorganized when they’re all in different sizes.

As a suggestion, I would find it pretty neat if you could make more than one template on how links should look like. Also, it would be great if this plugin could display meta-data of pages, e.g. the date of published posts for WP-sites.

    Thanks and regards,
    Ben

The thing with not setting it to cropped is that WordPress basically just makes sure the image fits inside a 350 by 350 rectangle.

So an image that’s higher than it’s wide would have a height of 350 but a smaller width. And an image that’s wider than it’s high will have a width of 350 but a smaller height. Because of that they won’t look uniform.

By creating a cropped image size you fix that problem. Take note that you will have to regenerate these thumbnails for any existing images.

More template options are on our todo list and I’ll look into meta as well, thanks for the suggestions!
