Image Slider

  • Hello! I’m having trouble with a site that was recently created. It’s a site for a jeweler, and mostly everything looks fine! The guy who made it did a great job, for the most part, except 1 element, an image slider.

    I’m not entirely sure about how it was made, and I’m having some trouble diagnosing it. Many of the pictures end up not showing up, leaving ugly white space! I’d really like to fix this by replacing the images. He used a Nova Theme, and I believe it has some sort of special feature image slider.

    There are more than 3 or so pages that we’d like to have this slider function correctly on. I have [S]FTP access to the server, and I have access to the wp-admin panel.

    Please help!

    Why? These forums do not offer email support. Assuming you are using https://www.elegantthemes.com/gallery/nova/ you need to seek support from the theme’s developer/vendor. We do not support commercial products here.

    Because I’m finishing up the work as a favor and I don’t have a membership to the organization. I’m not going to get one just to solve a few code problems, which CSS3 and HTML are pretty universal on wp themes. It’s unreasonable for me to purchase a membership for something of this magnitude. I don’t see why commercial products can’t be supported here… aren’t all wordpress themes created by wordpress commercial anyways?

    Regardless of what the problem is on and what you support, someone should be given help when it’s asked for.

    Honestly, I could just switch it out completely for a non-commercial slider plugin, and then ask you for help on that instead. I feel that it’d be a better use of both of our times to avoid that path, though.

    No, not at all – all the themes on the repository on this site are FREE, and most of them are not created by “WordPress.” Everything on this site (WP core, themes, plugins) are free (non-commercial). Support here is also 100% volunteer.

    It’s the policy of these forums that commercial products aren’t supported here – Please see: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Forum_Welcome#Commercial_Products. You’re free to disagree with it, but it won’t change, sorry.

    One reason they aren’t supported here is that we do not have access to them for testing or use, so that makes it practically quite impossible to help.

    Further, without a link to the site, we have absolutely no idea what’s going on with your site. Sorry.
