image slider

  • I have managed to get most everything to work great and I really love the look and feel of your theme! Thanks for developing it! I did figure out how to create image slides for the slider by creating a category of images. I would really like them to go somewhere when clicked though. How can I do this? Were planning to use the image slider for a sort of “call to action ” section and we need each image to link to a different page or service. Is there any way to make that work?

    Hi Lorie, There is an option to have the image slider on the home page link to a custom link. An internal page rather than a featured post or any external page such as https://www.yahoo.com. If you go to Posts -> Add New. You will see an option towards the bottom called Custom Fields and an associated Value field. This is where you can create the custom links you are referring to.

    I wanted to try your solution, but I cannot find the custom fields button. Does it only apply to pro accounts? Or am I missing something?

    Hi Sebastian, It’s not a button. When you are on Add New Post page, please go to the bottom where you will see “Custom Fields”, tight underneath you will see “Add New Custom Field”, right underneath you will see a dropdown list called “Name”, choose whatever value you need, to the right you will see a field called “Value”, call it whatever you wish. Then click the “Add Custom Field” button. That should do it.

    If you do not see the all the values I mentioned, please make sure to click on the little triangle on the right of the “Custom Fields” title. That will expand the list and you will see all the values.
