Image Slider – Caption

There is no caption option available for Image SLider block, however, you may use Media & Text Slider block, which does have caption and should suit your needs: https://prnt.sc/s2qsy8.

I was actually thinking of a common caption for the block and not for individual images.

For individual images, if at all, it should in fact pull caption and description from the image database.

The media and text slider does not work for several reasons –

Picking each image individually is painful. Secondly, there is no provision for linking images to media file and hence lightbox won’t work.

Hi there! If you need a common caption for the whole block, you may add it using Heading or Advanced Heading block, either above or below the Image Slider block: https://prnt.sc/s3e8j2.
Yes, since you need to open images in lightbox or linking them elsewhere, the Image Slider block would suit you the most.
