Image tag is missing in whatsapp share

Please provide links to a few pages on your site that are not working.

Here is an example: https://www.soniatakkar.com/journey-meals-wheels/

open it in mobile, click on whatsapp share icon. It won’t show you the thumbnail/featured image.

The source code is correctly outputting OpenGraph and Twitter meta tags from our plugin. Unfortunately, this mean either the share plugin you are using is not sending the correct data or WhatsApp doesn’t see the data.

Please contact the share plugin support team to confirm the share button is outputting correctly.

If the data is output correctly, please contact the WhatsApp support team to determine why it’s not seeing the data.

I tried to contact the share plugin support and got this response

I think I can help, we had the same issue on our website Melhor Hospedagem

The solution is that you need to link an image that is maximum 300 pixel length/height, for instance:

<meta property="og:image" content="https://www.yourdomain.com/img/image-size-300x200.jpg" />

And it works !

Thumbnail appears perfectly on our website: Presentes as you can test.

Melhorhospedagem, did you use 2 og:image tags?, one for facebook 1200×628 and other to whatsapp?
