• Hello guys!
You’ve made an amazing plugin, finally found this complete and easy solution as your plugin for displaying my portfolio in Justify Grid (without creating an album).
However now, I was testing it in Lighthouse and error pop out – Missing Alt Text – Which in my case is impossible, since I am adding Alt text manually after importing each picture in WordPress…
So then I checked by single element and I saw that for each picture in alt text your plugin using The Title of the image instead. This may be damaging from the SEO point of view.

What can I do to use real alt text?
Looking forward to hear you back!
    Thank you for your time.

Hello, the problem is when there is no alt. text on images. Since most of the users do not have this text, the plugin takes the title or caption as a resource. But I will add in the next versions so that the plugin takes an alt. if there is one.

Sounds great! Thanks for that. Can I ask you just 2 questions, then we’ll close – when do you think it will be possible? 2. If there is long time do you can have some CSS code to make it work right now.

    Thanks for the update!
    Greetings!

@sulainisart You do not need to worry about anything, for Google search and indexing by search engines your images already have your Alt. from the Media library.
At the moment, your Alt. text is not available to people who have disabled images in the browser or the blind, but this cannot be fixed with the help of CSS.

OH got it! The issue in fact came from Lighthouse giving the warning and low score because of “missing alt text”… So this is not quite clear why this happening (from the other hand) if anyway if you check in the source the alt text IS THERE, as a Title but it is there, so why would Lighthouse (Google tool) tell that alt text is missing. Anyway, for now SimpLy is the best plugin, even with this small issue… I will make my posts now. When do you think the update can be ready (for this particular issue)?

thanks for the 100th time haha, really! I appreciate your availability!

It is difficult to discuss something with you – you all know. ??
The change will be in the next version (most likely).

I kindly asked few questions, if I would “knew it all” I wouldn’t ask…
    No need to act cocky…
And no need to tell people to not worry, quote:

You do not need to worry about anything, for Google search and indexing by search engines your images already have your Alt. from the Media library.

If someone tries to understand the issue and clearly do not have so much expertise like you do. You can explain in polite way…

Anyhow question remains (like the other 2) what I’ve done to hurt your feelings so much…

    Stay good!

Sorry if I offended you with something.

No no don’t worry, I think it might be my fault, implying you to do something, maybe I’m expressing myself in a bad way in english.
    No worries!
Just really this Lighthouse score bothers me since morning haha

I’m looking forward to an update! I would highly appreciate that.

Sorry if I may offended you also!

Should I clouse topic as solved or wait till the update?
    Thanks!
    Artur.
