Homepage uses Elementor with the Astra theme, but the image title is not retrieved. Instead, it automatically assigns “Home + number” as the title, so when hovering over the images, tooltips like “Home 42” appear. This happens to all images. https://snipboard.io/OZK0VX.jpg

Are there any settings that I’ve missed? Any help would be appreciated.

Hello @miloss84 , thank you for your response.

Here are the first image you can find on the homepage, and the titles (tooltips) on this image and the swap image display as “home 17” and “home 18.” However, the correct titles appear as tooltips on the single product page. This issue occurs with all images on the homepage and blog page (e.g., “blog 22”) built with Elementor. You can find the link here. I might have missed some settings in Elementor but I couldn’t find them. I appreciate your help.

    Hi @wonderwooman,

Thank you for sharing the screenshots and the website URL.

Upon inspection, the image displaying the tooltip on hover contains the attribute title="Home 18", which is causing the tooltip to appear. It seems that this widget or element is part of the Astra theme, not Elementor.

To resolve this issue, I recommend reaching out to the Astra support team, as they’ll be able to provide the most accurate guidance on how to fix it.

    Kind regards,

Hi @ricav Thank you for your reply.

The issue isn’t about whether the tooltip appears or whether it displays the content from the title as a tooltip. From my understanding, this is the default behavior of the Astra theme. In Astra, it works correctly on single product pages (without Elementor), where the tooltip shows the image’s actual title, rather than something generic like “home 18” as seen on the homepage built with Elementor.

I don’t mind the tooltips appearing; however, the issue is that when the page is built with Elementor (such as the homepage or blog page), Elementor doesn’t use the actual image titles for the tooltips. Instead, it generates its own titles for the images, such as “home 10,” “home 18,” or “home 50” on the homepage, and “blog 20,” “blog 22” on the blog page. What I would like is for the tooltips to display the correct image titles on pages built with Elementor. (To clarify, the tooltips display correctly on pages not built with Elementor.)

I’d like to know if there are any settings I might have missed in Elementor to force it to display the actual image titles in the tooltips, rather than creating random names like “home 18.” Thank you!

    Hi,

I hope you are doing well. I have further check and can confirm this is not an Elementor issue here. You are using shortcode widget and inside it use a shortcode ( not sure which ) to generate the layout. If the shortcode does work properly with the image title on a non elementor page ( a page with Gutenberg for example ) you can reach to the author of the theme on this as there is probably some conflict with the rendering of the image here which causes this. It’s worth to also swap theme and test incase you use the default WooCommerce shortcode.

This is not controlled by Elementor at all.

Thank you for your help and clarification. I discovered that the issue was due to Rank Math SEO, which may have a conflict with Elementor.
