Image upload error after cpanel upgrade

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? I have a number of WordPress sites hosted on a server that recently had cpanel upgrade. None of the sites can now upload images via the media library or direct into a post or page. All other functions of WordPress are working fine (to our knowledge).

This coincides with a cpanel upgrade and the host is trying to find the problem. I’ve checked with the cpanel forum and can find nothing there.

Has anyone else had this problem and were you able to get it fixed? If so, how?
