    Hi all,
When insert a gallery block en try to upload pictures, I got the following error: “Cannot read property ‘raw’ of undefined”.
I use WP 5.01, with “twenty nineteen” theme and the post I like to add a gallery is made in in/with blocks.
I don’t know if this happens due to WP5 or twentynineteen since I didn’t try this before (I used nextgen gallery but want to try the build-in gallery).

    Regards,
    Bas

  • Hello,
if you upload some new images, the gallery works?
I think the next gallery locate the images on diffrend folder than media gallery.

    Hi Antonis,

    Thanks for your reply.
No, uploading new or old images doens’t matter. Images from the original folder, from the nextgen gallery map, from.. whatever map, doesn’t matter. Deactivating nextgen makes no change either. Any other ideas?

Hi @bvo, I’ve not had any issues with twentynineteen and uploading images in the gallery block. It could be other plugins causing an issue. Are there any other plugins that you have active?

    Hi talldanwp,
Thanks for your reply. I do use some plugins. However, deactivating them all, doens’t fix it ??
So WP 5.01, with 2019 theme and no plugins activated, and a new post (of old post) gives me this error. Maybe the 5.02 releas later today…

@bvo – what kind of a setup/server do you use? I know there are reports of an issue with IIS servers and media uploads, though the error sounds different to the one you’re seeing. You could also try uploading first to the media library outside of Gutenberg as an intermediate workaround, maybe that will work.

    Hi talldawnwp,
I use a synology server, with apache 4.2 and php 7.0
Uploading a new image to the library works. Uploading from the library to a galley also works. But when I try uploading (the same) images from (the same) a map to a gallery, it fails?!
So there is a workaround, however, I like to keep my media library “clean” for some specific images only (like header images and so), since I use about 1700 images in about 40 different galleries!

Solved this and other problems by completely deleting WP and the database and start all over again ??

Thanks talldanwp for all your replies
