Image upload field slows page loading time

  • I’ve encountered something strange regarding this plugin. As soon as I add an Image upload field, loading pages with the [pdb_list] and [pdb_single] shortcodes takes forever (=several minutes) to load/refresh. Even if I haven’t uploaded any images yet. If I delete the image upload field, the problem goes away, and the pages load in a few seconds as normal.

    This is keeping me from adding profile pictures to my database, which I would really like to do.

    Any advice is much appreciated.

    If you can send me a link to a page where the malfunction is happening, I’ll take a look. From what I know now, I don’t know why that would happen.

    I was trying to reproduce the issue, but now I’m getting this message sometimes:

    ERROR 500 – Internal Server Error!

    The following error occurred:

    The requested URL caused an internal server error.
    If you get this message repeatedly please contact the webmaster

    Other times the page does load, but takes a very long time doing so.

    I’ve also noticed the status bar in the bottom of the browser window said ‘waiting for available socket’ for a while, if that is of any significance.

    I would suggest contacting your hosting company, those kinds of errors are usually due to server configuration issues.
