image upload missing a tab after 2..0.6 upgrade

hey there. i recently upgraded my wp software to 2.0.6 and since then my image upload won’t work any longer. for one its missing the browse tab, but even independent of that it won’t upload new images or files. obviously i had not changed the file permissions of the upload folders. i searched the forums but only found an older post. i tried the suggested mysql table fix, setting null for pinged to_ping and post_content_filtered to null. that did not fix the problem. anyone have the same problem?
