Image Upload Missing <img> and other tags

  • When I attempt to upload images using 2.1, the image thumbnail appears fine after I upload the file. When I click “Send to editor” nothing happens so I am forced to drag the file up into the post. When I drag a file after selecting “thumbnail” “full image” or any combination of the 6 radio buttons, this is what appears in the post.

    There are no image tags to display the image by default.

    I tried adding the IMG tags manaully and everything worked. So what file must I modify to fix this?

    Also, I tried using Firefox 1.5 and that only allowed to drag and drop the file, no “send to editor” functionality. IE 6.0 doesn’t allow me to do anything after the thumbnail appears when I upload. :\

    I do apologize if this is a duplicate issue on the forums, I did try to search for this, but nothing this specific appeared.

  • If you can’t get that working, I suggest you try the ImageManager plugin. You can get it at https://soderlind.no and it’s much better than the native WP image stuff.

    I tried that plugin and it doesn’t work at all. I don’t see any buttons in the WYSIWYG editor…none. ??

    I think I may save my style templates and just restart from scratch.
