Image uploader Attachment Pane text deletes automatically…

    I’m trying to improve the efficiency of using WordPress and one thing that has been driving me crazy forever is how the “Title” and “Alt text” fields I fill out on the Attachment Pane (of the Image Uploader when importing pictures to my site) gets deleted as soon as the image is finished uploading.

    For example if the image is named 0987.jpg, but I title it “DanceParty” and give it the alt text “amazing image of a coconut doing the cha cha” as it loads the image from my Macbook Pro — it reverts back to a title of “0987.jpg” with nothing in the alt text box when the image is fully uploaded. This seems like something a smart WordPress developer probably sorted out a long time ago, I would imagine.

    So how can I fix this?
