Image uploader button doesn't work

  • So, today i clicked on the update button on wordpress and it completely ruined my wordpress site. I am not able to upload anything using the image uploader and i can’t switch from visual to html anymore when making posts. I feel like the update did not update correctly. What can i do to fix this?

  • Have you tried:
    – deactivating all plugins (yes, all) to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s). Don’t forget the ones in mu-plugins if you have that. If you can’t get into your admin dashboard, try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    Also when i try to “re-install”, its says “Update package not available. Installation Failed”

    Do a manual update, then.

    Similar here….the image uploader button only works on Right Click > New Tab, but then you can’t embed thumbnails in the post.

    Similar (exact same) advice.

    Disable all your plugins, and if that fails, do a manual update.
