• Hi,

I’ve read the post by Otto42 (great post by the way) regarding Image/Media upload issues, and my current issue might be different from his points.

I can access the Add an Image option, but when I select “Choose files to upload” from the popup nothing happens.

I’ve had this work before and only on IE. Firefox would give the same non-action error as above, while IE would actually allow me to search my PC. We recently did an update to our website, which is tied to our WordPress installation.

This issue screams of network problem but I’m not sure where to start to address. Unfortunately, we have an outside developing group that maintains and implemented our WordPress.

Has anyone ran into this issue? Where the “Choose files to upload” does not work. Or any suggestions as to where to start to address this? If you need more details, please just reply here or email at: phil(dot)vu(at)policymap(dot)com.

    Many thanks,

    Phil Vu

  • I just posted a note that I actually have no image upload icons anymore. They were there a week ago, now they are gone.

Yeah, I don’t have missing icons but mine is as much of tease.

I sent this to my developers who setup our WordPress installation, and hopefully they can figure out what’s causing it. I do have a feeling that it’s network related. Any suggestions from others would be greatly appreciated.

I’ll be sure to post any solutions I run across.

    Many thanks.

I cant create a directory in which to upload my files even when i have actually created it on my server. i have not allowed to import media screaming all over my files and dont know how to change the permissions. I see what i have to type in terms of the numbers, but not where. i also am reading that it doesn’t quite work anyway. i am a digital artist and photographer and am now starting to build a community on my site. i should be able to let both myself and others upload rather than simply dragging and dropping from an active site into a post!

does anyone have an answer to this problem as it seems to be rampant?

    thanks!
