Image uploading problems this month

    When I upload an image the file shows it being up loaded and associated with the page, however, when I coma to view it it just shows the image icon. This has only happened in March. The 02 Feb folder is fine, but 03 has nothing in it. Also, it is adding a 1 onto th file name, for example image-1 is now being named image-11

    It only names thing with an extra 1 if you already have an image with that name uploaded.

    However. Check the permissions of your 03 folder. Do they match 02?

    Ah, that makes sense! That is probably because I tried to upload them directly into the 03 folder and then name them the same. The permissions for all the folders are at 777.
    I have temporarily got around the problem by un ticking the box in media saying put media into date folders. The upload is now working, but putting all images in the uploads folder. I will see if next month it will add images to the 04 folder if I tick the box in media again.

    Check the ownership of the 03 folder. You may need to delete it and recreate it, but that’s what’s busted.
