• we are trying to figger out wordpress and there is one thing going wrong. i can’t put a picture in a page. you see the name of the picture standing there put the picture itself not. i checked for caps lock etc inside the name of the picture but nothing. i checked if the url is right but nothing. so i dont’t know anymore why the picture is not comping up on the screen. is there someone out there who has any idea or can help me??? thanks very much.

    after the first text you see a blank line and the word ‘bom’.well in stead of that word there should be a picture. (i thougt )

  • You’re not providing the correct path in the url to your images. If you’re going to place them in your theme’s images sub-directory (which is not a good location for post images, but it’s your blog), then you want to use the following path:

    /wp-content/themes/3c-black-letterhead/images/

    The default in WordPress is to use wp-content/uploads/. Some change that to wp-content/images/ (for image uploads, naturally), while others (like myself) go with the standard images/ in the root directory. But it’s up to you.

    To explain my point, the reason it’s not a good idea using a theme’s src or images (or whatever) sub-directory for uploading post images to is, you never know when you’re going to change themes.

    the strange thing is that when i use the folder images it doesn’t work to get images on the web. for instance

    i gave him images/picturename but nothings happens
