• I installed WP a few days ago. Right after the install I used the image uploader to insert an image into a new blog. It worked perfectly. But ever since it hasn’t worked!

    Everything seems to go okay until I click Insert into Post. When I click that the image upload/management window goes blank. It just turns white and then it dies. I have to click Close to get out of it or it would just stay in the screen totally blank. When I click close the image is never inserted into the post.

    Tried again today with a Flash file – got the exact same result. Any ideas? Thanks!

    All my files are there. My site is: https://americanfreedomnow.com. I’m also running the exact same thing on https://americanmiracle.us – and it works perfectly there. Both domains are on the same server.

    thanks!

    @pginfo: There’s a line of invalid characters between your header and your page content. It starts with:

    <!-- /HEADER -->
    <!-- <div style="float:left;"> -->

    and ends with

    <!-- </div> --><!-- CONTENT -->

    Remove everything from <!-- <div style to <!-- </div> -->.

    I’m not suggesting that this text is suspicious but neither is it helping, so it’s best removed.

    What are you using to generate the dropdown menus?

    @jcerious: Start by removing (what I assume is) the Google tracker script at the top of the page before the header. I think you’ll find it at the top if header.php. It needs to go elsewhere. Perhaps in the footer before the </body> tag? I also noticed that you’re using the ShareThis plugin on the problem site but not on the other site. Have you tried deactivating this plugin?

    Thanks esmi – but didn’t help.

    The analytics code is in the index.php file – above the area where the php starts. I did remove it though and removed ShareIt too… but still same problem – blank white screen after clicking “Insert Into Post”.

    I’ve also tried removing ALL the plugins, and that didn’t do anything either.

    It appears that it has to do with the .htaccess file in the root directory of your WordPress site. Go to wp-content/uploads/
    Try removing the .htaccess file.
    or if you have User Access Manager activated, de-activate it – this worked for me.
