Images & Galleries Bug & Solution in 2.6

Found out there is a bug in 2.6

The Images are all stored in a folder wp-content/uploads (default), I have set it to another folder like myblogfolder, so the 2.6 Version does not check for this and always links to the wp-content/uploads folder and inserts it to any media uploaded (images, galleries etc). so if you want to have it working properly atm you have to create the folder at that default position and start to work with this from now on. Thats just the workaround. If the WP teams is listening: Please check this, I assume it’s just hardcoded somewhere to store to that default location – since you can set the patch to the images it should still work with that path -> BUG!

Thanks for reading and fixing it. Hope I could help, perhaps some code was dropped and the testers all got their images in the default image folder location “uploads”. not that it is possible to save it anywhere within the WP range (top level or in any folder including wp-content).
