Images and descriptions

By default, most WordPress themes won’t display the image description on the front end of the site. You can certainly create a child-theme to do so, but that may be more than you’re looking to do.

As an alternative option, could you use the caption functionality within WordPress to display the written copy that you’d like visitors on your site to see?

I have been adding the caption but as you can see it still won’t display

It seems to be there, as far as I can see. I’ve highlighted in a pink box what I believe to be the caption. Is that not the caption as you entered it on the dashboard side?
