Images Appear Square Automatically in Draft and Publish

  • When trying to insert images into the content area, the images are “cropping” to square 1:1 ratio….but they are uploading in the size I want them sized at, this is only happening when I try to insert the media into the content. Once I hit publish the images also appears “cropped” to square. But the files themselves are NOT cropped. This is the first post I have had an issue with an haven’t been able to fix it in two weeks.

    I have already deactivated all plugins and reactivated one by one, even with ALL my plugins deactivated this issue is still there. I have checked my media settings. Again, the image files upload at the correct size/ratio but only appear to be cropped in draft and then after publish.

    Please help!
