Images are blurry

    Please try the following solution for the gallery:

    Photo Gallery plugin provides Generated Thumbnail Dimensions option, which determines the physical size of thumbnail images. The option is located in Photo Gallery Options > General page. Thumbnail Dimensions option, which you set when publishing the gallery, defines the display size of the thumbnails.

    Please make sure to set Generated Thumbnail Dimensions larger than Thumbnail Dimensions. This is important and necessary for having a nice resolution on image thumbnails.

    After making these changes, please press Recreate button.

    is that an issue of combination nextgen gallery and this gallery on same page? thumbnails from albums are blurry. image quality 100% and the doublesize of required thumbnail size changes nothing.

    If you’re using the free version of NextGen (I can’t comment on the paid version) the blurry thumbnails on small screens are down to the fact that free NextGen does not support retina images.

    I found a free galley plugin that did support retina and the problem was solved.
