Images are no longer displayed in post summary (the_excerpt)

    To start with, I think that version 2.7 is looking fantastic!

    However I have noticed that images are no longer displayed in any of the summary posts i.e. the_excerpt. When building with earlier versions of PHP I was sure that if an image sat before the copy, its thumbnail was displayed.

    Is this a bug or something that has been removed from WordPress?

    Many thanks and I cannot tell you just how much WordPress has added to my knowledge skills and love of coding! Thank and dont ever stop because you bring great joy to many simple coders like me all around the world!
