Images aren't attached to comments

  • Hello.

    I’ve just installed ‘Comment Images Reloaded’ and after the comment has been published, the image doesn’t show at all. I’ve run a full plugin conflict test and it seems this is not the problem.

    I used to use ‘Comments Attachment’ and managed to recover images thanks to your plugin. Apart from that, I’ve just left the default settings unchanged (not ticked ‘deactivate images for all posts’).

    Thanks a lot for your help, Wppuzzle. I’ve contacted you and you did figure out what was happening in my site. You pinpointed what the issue was. There’s a plugin conflict (‘Ajaxed Comments’ and CIR) and you stated that you and your team are going to do your best to solve this issue. Thank you.

    Hi again,

    Just in case it helps I can say now that no plugins that allow users to edit their comments seem to be compatible with CIR. I’ve tried downloading a few more plugins — Simple Comment Editing, among others — and they’re not working well with the current version of CIR.

    Have you found out what’s wrong or do you know if it could be fixed at all in the near future, please?

    I’m also failing to attach image to comment.
    Wordpress 4.6.1, CIR 2.2.1
    Have attempted with both templates “First” and “Twenty Sixteen”
    (Creating comment from wpadmin)
    I add comment text, then click “Choose Files”, then select jpeg (410 KB), then click “POST COMMENT”
    Result:
    “Oops! That page can’t be found.
    It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try a search?”

    What am I doing wrong?

    Hello!
    We have tested WordPress 4.6.1 with the latest version of Comment Images Reloaded and WP Members: Membership Framework with active theme Twenty Sixteen. Any registered user (even with minimum rights-Subscriber) was able to attach picture to the comment successfully.
    Perhaps some prohibitions are customized in plugin WP Members.

    Having the same issue except I am running a multisite and it seems this only happens with the first site that I created. The other sites wotk fine…
