I have used Cyber SEO Lite on two WordPress sites. On one site I have not encountered any problems. But on the second site I just recently starting having problems with the plugin deleting images. This site utilizes Elementor Pro which may or may not be relevant – I do not know.

The images being deleted are sometimes on the page that I am updating (NOT an RSS imported post), but sometimes the images being deleted are on other pages. I even experienced the logo set in the WordPress customizer being deleted. Sometimes the entire image set is deleted, sometimes one version of the image set remains. I wonder if your script is somehow conflicting with the Elementor templating system or another plugin. Or maybe something in the identification of imported images is failing.

Also, I had to entirely remove your plugin, not just disable it, in order to resolve the issue. I thought this was a bit strange.

I am not looking for support at this time but I did want to let you know what I have experienced in case other users have the same issue.

  • I have had the same issue a few weeks ago and I am sure it is actually to do with elemntor…. the issue seems to be when elementor resizes images…. if you look in the images folder (use ftp or web file browser) you will see the images that have been resized have been renamed to something like image123-1280×780.jpg

oh interesting… because I haven’t had any issues on the first site, I had wondered if this was a conflict with Elementor.

The logo in the header that disappeared was also part of an Elementor template. None of the images that I had updated were resized, but the fact that you were also experiencing issues with Elementor seems like it might be more than coincidental. Thanks for responding!

The CyberSEO Lite plugin has no function to delete the images if you do not delete the posts manually. The plugin has an open code and can see that it’s just impossible. If something is being deleted, it’d being deleted by other plugin, theme or whatever. There is no single line which allows CyberSEO to delete the images if you do not delete the posts by your hand. If you can find such a code in my plugin, just post it here.

    Thank you!

I’m using Elegant Themes’ Extra theme with Aspen Grove’s Walden child theme and have been experiencing the same issue. However it’s only with the social icons I’m using in project pages that I’ve repurposed for directory listings. It’s really weird. I’m also experiencing issues with the plugin causing “debug” messages to show on the home page though debug was not enabled in wp-config.php. I did the plugin disable/re-enable protocol and these messages only disappeared when I deactivated CyberSEO (I’m using the pro version). This is a real heartbreak because I want to syndicate the blogs of all my members. But the plugin dumped about 25-40 feeds I had already set up. I really want to get these issues worked out so I can launch this site but support has been a bit snippy with me. I don’t know what to do. $99/year and I’m not getting what I paid for nor am I getting any real support. Can someone step up to the plate and help me figure out what’s going on? I’d be happy to provide admin credentials to a support rep if that will help.

Your email doesn’t work. Seems you have some problems with the server configuration.

    Address not found
Your message wasn’t delivered to ***********@****************.*** because the address couldn’t be found, or is unable to receive mail.

    Thus I’ll reply here.

    I’ve checked your CyberSEO settings.

    1) For some unknown reason one feed was added incorrectly. I have deleted it and now there is no debug message.

    2) The feeds can not be deleted automatically, unless you have some problems with your database. Also I would suggest you to use server cron instead of the “auto mode” (CyberSEO General Settings -> RSS pull mode). This will help you to fix many problems caused by built-in WordPress pseudo cron.

    3) You don’t have to pay $99/year. Who told you that nonsense? You have a lifetime unlimited license and don’t have to pay anything.
