Images being displayed as pages

Can you please provide us with an example URL of one of the image pages you are referring to?

This is expected behavior when you have activate the Yoast SEO: Search index purge plugin.

This plugin shows the attachment URL (https://www.greatestreviews.co.uk/best-air-fryer/9-2/) in the browser address bar but displays the image in the browser.

This allows Google to see the attachment URL as a 410 Gone but doesn’t disrupt your visitors from viewing the actual image.

So should i remove this purge plug in and just have the media option set to yes?

If the attachment URLs are indexed by search engines, you will want to leave the purge plugin active until the attachment pages no longer appear in search results.

If the attachment URLs are not indexed by search engines, you can remove the purge plugin and set the media option to Yes.

A site search for the attachment URL will tell you whether or not the URL is indexed.

If you see a did not match any documents message, the URL is not indexed.
