Images breaking in test and actual emails

Followup – these are emails being sent to gmail on desktop both PC and iOS. The email images are not showing up for two completely different systems / email addresses.

This gives me the impression that since your connection is private, this may be contributing to the images being stripped/broken from your emails.

To confirm if this is the case, you can try making your website public then sending another test email. If the issue persists, please also try sending an email while WP Mail SMTP is disabled to confirm if the issue is specific to your website or if it is indicative of another conflict.

Hello! Yes that is the culprit – I didn’t realize that would affect the email images when we were testing and building the site. With the password protection on the /public_html/ folder turned off, everything worked as it should. I appreciate your assistance in troubleshooting this issue!
