Images broken within WordPress

I’m having trouble with images being broken within the WordPress dashboard.

I get a 403 error but I have checked/updated all file permissions and that’s not the issue.

I’ve logged into my site using Safari, Firefox and Chrome with no change.

I’ve cleared cache and changed permalinks but that didn’t fix the problem either.

I’ve created a fresh database with a new install. I even acquired a new domain and set the site up as I usually do.

Now the error I get is Failed to load resource: net::ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND

All other sites on the server are presenting fine.

When I test the broken image in the browser using it’s file path, it shows ok.

I’ve never been confronted with this issue before and don’t know what to do.

I’m in the process of reaching out to hosting company but would prefer to handle it on my own.

Any help?
