    Hey Woo Planet

I have migrated my site from local to public server. I have a flag icon pack that displayed as squared. Inside Media Library, I see they have now been cropped and I no longer see the top and bottom.

I am using them for categories and they display cropped also on my site. What do I do. Is the original gone, can I recover/retrieve?

    Thx

  • Hi there @hebhansen, thank you for reaching out.

If I understand you correctly, your images were properly displaying in your local server but are now cropped in live site.

This is unusual, however the original images should still be in your server’s uploads folder, unless they were manually deleted. Here’s what you can do:

    1. Check your Media Library in list view to see if all the full-sized images are still there.

    2. If they’re not, you can re-upload the original images (if you still have your local files)

    3. If the issue persists, try disabling all plugins to see if there’s a conflict. If the issue resolves, enable them one by one to identify the culprit.

    4. Check your theme’s settings for image sizes and adjust if necessary.

    I hope this helps.

original file is there, but a cropped one is returned into media library grid view and also into site, so What do I do under #1 ?

    Hi again,

You can try deleting any cropped images and replace those with the full images. If the site crops them again, please try switching to a default theme like Storefront and try to see if the image issue persists.

It’s an icon pack of 300 images, where all are named x 3, so I would really like to find that check box that fixes this, as opposed to 6 hours of manual media management.

I have perfect images plugin, where I have regenerated all images.

Regenerate Thumbnails plugin fixed this. I regenerated everything except large original, purged cache and thumbs are now correct.

    Thx everyone
