images cut off on the left hand side

I installed this plug-in, but immediately deleted the widget as it wasn’t displaying the full instagram images. In every slide the images were appearing off-centre, shifted over to the right – a strip to the left of the picture was missing. Is there a reason why this happens and can anything be done about it? I centre and line up my pictures carefully, and I don’t want them cut off, so I reluctantly I have gone back to the static instagram plug-in offered by Jetpack.
